Giselle Narváez Rivera is a master’s student in Anthropology with a focus in primatology under the guidance of Dr. Jill Pruetz. She completed her bachelor’s degree here at Iowa State University in Animal Ecology with a minor in Biology.

Her research is focused on studying crop-raiding by New World monkeys as a human-wildlife conflict in Gandoca, Costa Rica. She used ethnoprimatological methods to better understand the relationship between humans and non-human primates and the implications of such conflict on their conservation and management.
