Topics of interest: cinema and new media, labor studies, literature of the borderlands and migration, travel literature


Xan Holt earned his Ph.D. at Columbia University. His dissertation addresses German and Polish literature during the Cold War, specifically the impact of Cold War borders and spheres of influence on literary form. He is currently beginning a new project that explores the changing work of the author under new regimes of labor. He is the reviews editor of The Germanic Review.
