Bio

Celeste is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Spanish at Iowa State University. she received her MA in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2006 with a minor in Second Language Learning.

A native of Argentina, Celeste has taught a variety of Spanish courses at different institutions across the United States. She worked as a Lecturer for the University of Nebraska Lincoln where she also served as coordinator of several basic and intermediate courses. At Wesleyan University she served as Adjunct Instructor. While in DC she worked for American University as Adjunct Instructor teaching courses in the 100s, 200s and 300s level. In Virginia she worked for the Falls Church City Public Schools serving as Spanish Teacher for the basic course sequence as well as lead teacher in the A2 course of the International Baccalaureate. Also worked for Communikids Language School as Spanish Teacher for children ages 0 to 5 years old. At Iowa State she teaches basic and intermediate courses in Spanish as well as coordinates the Conversation Table and Spanish Tutoring. As part of her involvement in the community she now translates and interprets for the Mid Iowa Community Action (MICA) in the Early Childhood Program.
