Marta Lence is a Lecturer of Spanish in the World Languages and Cultures Department at Iowa State University, and a certified ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) Tester. She received her Pharmacy degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1994 and a M.A from Iowa State University in Linguistics, Spanish & Education in 2010.

She is interested in elaboration of aural and visual texts for language learning instruction as well as the development of authentic-like materials to improve language learner’s listening comprehension.

The Spanish Club is a student run organization providing an environment outside of the classroom to converse, participate in activities and meet other Spanish-loving ISU students. Spanish Club is a fun place to practice the Spanish language during conversation hours, social activities, and many other events!  It is a way for students to get extra practice speaking and using the language in a less formal setting.
