Bio
Susan is the communications and outreach coordinator responsible for content-driven venues such as our website, social media, our quarterly newsletter Conversations, and weekly departmental Monday Memo. She collaborates with college-level communicators, advisers, and university development officers to support WLC advertising, marketing and recruitment efforts. Her role also includes organizing special events such as high school visits, alumni meet-ups, and student outreach nights as well as co-directing the WLC Ambassadors program. Prior to working at Iowa State, Susan had a broad range of communication experience including the fields of the magazine publishing, academia, healthcare, and international sports.Susan loves working with WLC alumni, students, and faculty to help them tell their stories how their study of language and culture impacts their lives and the lives of those around them. From international travel to new jobs, hobbies to community service, she'd love to hear about your latest adventure.
